Cancun, Mexico

Jason and I booked a last minute trip to Cancun recently. We flew my mom up to stay with the girls (thanks a MILLION mom for doing that!!!!!!). We went to the same resort we went to last year because we have found it to be the BEST of the best as far as Cancun is concerned. It is called Le Blanc Spa Resort. This year they were running a deal. If you stayed at least 3 nights, you received $750 resort credit. We weren't exactly sure what to do with it. We knew we would get massages (because we did it last year and it was great), but other than that we didn't know. We could have done excursions, but we didn't want to leave the resort. We could have done an upgraded wine list, but we were so happy with the wine selection last year, we couldn't imagine it being better. We ended up upgraded our room to an ocean view, getting two 50 minute massages, and also getting a lobster/steak/champagne/wine "romantic" dinner served at a table on the beach. It was an amazing trip. We enjoyed ourselves so much. I read my Kindle like it was going out of style (finished an entire book). Jason read a lot of his new George Bush (Decision Points) book. We played mah jongg a few times (yes I brought the tiles all the way to Mexico!). We ate fabulous food. We laid by the pool and the beach for hours on end. And most importantly, we enjoyed each other's company! We definitely missed our girls and were glad to be back and see them. We left Cancun at around 86 degrees to find Pittsburgh at a cool 27 degrees and snowing! It was quite alarming to be in shorts and flip flops scraping snow off the car...ha!
