Sock Monkey Mania...

We decided to do baby 'Nolan's' room in the sock monkey theme. I am so excited about it! Here are some cute ideas I have seen. We got all of the baby 'stuff' down from the attic and set up in his room. Boy, is there a lot of stuff that babies need!! Time to start decorating!
PS- is that a sign that we found a pillow in the exact material we like with the name 'Nolan' on it???? Maybe so...

It's a BOY!!!!

Before we opened all the gifts, I just couldn't take the suspense anymore. I had to open that envelope to find out if we were having a boy or girl. I have a video of us opening, but I am not sure how to post it yet (we did the video with our video camera, not the regular camera). We opened that envelope as a family. Jason and I shot all four of our hands in the air at the exact time and yelled! It was so cool. IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!! We were soooooooooo excited, to say the least. It was really neat to be able to share the moment with my mom and grandmother as well! The rest of the day I had to remind myself that it was real...we were really going to have a boy. I couldn't believe it. In fact, I still don't. I just knew it was going to be a third girl. Jason was so excited. He was smiling from ear to ear all day long. He kept talking about Nolan (what Jason wants to name him) like he was already here. After we opened gifts, we called the family on Skype to share the news. I would say everyone was excited for a little boy...finally! Here is the paper inside the envelope and us right after we opened it! If I can ever figure the video out, I will post it because it is great!!!

Christmas Morning

I was up early filled with excitement. My excitement was for two reasons this year: 1)I couldn't wait to see the girls faces and reactions to their gifts and to the fact that my mom and grandmother were here this year! And 2) Jason and I were going to open the envelope to find out if we were having a boy or girl!!! I woke up first, then I woke up my mom and grandmother. Then Jason got up and shortly after the girls got up! Here are some pics from the morning. Please excuse our pajamas, hair not done, and no makeup!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was great this year. Katelyn was very in to everything. My mom and grandmother were set to arrive around 9 pm on Christmas Eve. After we set out the cookies and milk, read some Christmas stories, and put the girls to bed, I set out to pick my mom and grandmother up from the airport. They arrived on time with no problems...thank goodness. After we got back to the house, it was time for Santa to come to the de Wolfe house. Santa and his elves had their hands full this year with a three story Barbie dream house for Addy and a marble works toy for Kate! Before I went to bed I had to snap a picture of what Santa brought the girls!!! I went to bed so thankful for our blessings and so excited to see the girls faces the next morning!

New Car

We recently got a new car, and we are loving it!! I have loved my Tahoe since the day I got it, and still do, but it has a bench seat in the second row instead of bucket seats. This makes it really hard to access the third row of seats because you have to fold a seat down in the middle to get to the back. It wouldn't be a problem at all if we weren't about to have THREE car seats in our car. So we started the search for a big car, not a van, that had bucket seats in the middle. We looked at the Navigator, new Tahoe, Expedition, Escalade, Sequoia, and the Armada. We ended up getting the Nissan Armada. After searching a bit we (well I should say I, not we) knew we wanted the almond interior leather. Apparantly the almond, tan, leather is a lot harder to come by then the black leather interior. There were only about 4 cars in the area to choose from. We ended up finding one that was white on the outside near the Pittsburgh Airport. Jason started the wheeling and dealing and five hours later, we had a new car. Wooohoooo. The girls love the DVD player (we didn't have that in the Tahoe). Jason and I are loving the heated seats and heated steering wheel. The navigation system is really nice, but we still have a lot to learn. I also love the front and back sensors and the back up camera. Now to decide which one of our other vehicles to sell. We have Jason's truck the Titan and my Tahoe and we need to sell one of them. We call the new car Big Al and it is BIG!!!

Ultrasound...finally!

Well, we finally got to have our first ultrasound for the baby today! I was sooooooo nervous about this ultrasound because this is the exact week we found out about Katelyn having only one functioning kidney. Jason is out of town for work, so I had to go alone today. When she showed me the two kidneys, in the right location (one of Kate's was in the pelvis), and the right size, I cried! I was so happy. They may have to call me in one other time because they were not able to get very clear pictures of the four chambers of the heart (the baby was facing the wrong way). They WERE able to tell if the baby was a boy or girl. I had her seal it up in an envelope, and we are going to open it on Christmas morning! I cannot wait (neither can the girls). Addy wants a girl and Kate wants a boy. I am just most thankful the baby is healthy!! Please vote at the top left of the blog on whether you think it is a boy or girl! We will reveal the answer on Christmas once we open our envelope! Yay for TWO kidneys and a healthy baby!

Thankful, thankful, thankful!

Last night when I laid down to go to sleep, I started praying and all that was on my heart was how absolutely thankful and grateful I am! Sometimes we can get so caught up in all the materialistic things in life or the everyday situations that it is easy to lose sight of what is truly important in life. I am so blessed to have a loving and providing husband, two healthy and beautiful daughters, a baby on the way, a warm home filled with love, and supportive family and friends. What more could a girl ask for?? My continued prayer is that I am able to remain thankful and grateful for all the wonderful blessings He has given me!!! Merry Christmas y'all!!

Christmas Lights

On Monday night we went to look at Christmas lights with some good friends. We loaded up the 4 kiddos (in the new car...yay!) and headed out! The kids loved it! There was so much to look at. They put on quite the little show. We listened to Christmas music and watched Christmas movies in the car and had a great time!!

Sisters

I was just laying on the couch when the girls just hopped on the table to watch the food channel with me and this is what they did next. I just snapped a quick picture, and they never even knew. I just thought it was so sweet. I love this shot!!! I love to hear them tell each other they love each other and that they are best friends, and I love it even more when I catch moments like these on camera!

Photo Session

I am so horrible about planning ahead for our Christmas card! I don't know what it is, but this time of year just seems to fly by and before you know it, I have waited too late to do my card. I got the girls dressed and took some pictures in front of the tree/fireplace for our Christmas card this year. The entire photo session lasted about ten minutes and was hilarious. I bribed them with chocolate covered pomegranates (I think you can actually see Katelyn holding chocolate in one of these). Addyson did perfect the entire time. She held this perfect smile and pose. Katelyn kept trying to tilt her head, but she never would smile at the same time. Oh well...you get what you get with a two year old I suppose! I didn't include the one we chose for the Christmas card...that way it will be a surprise! But no matter if they have the "perfect photo pose" or not, I think they are absolutely gorgeous, adorable, and perfect!!!!!

Ponytail...

Katelyn had her very first ponytail. I thought she looked so cute and so gown up. Now she asks for one every day because she things she looks like a 'big girl'!!!
