Road Trip

Jason was headed to Philadelphia this past weekend to see the Rangers play baseball, so the girls and I loaded up the SUV and head about 4 hours away to visit our old neighbors. They moved about a year and a half ago and we were all so sad. Jason and Kevin got along great. Beth and I hung out almost every day. The kids were besties too! They have two boys and we have two girls so everything seemed to balance out. We had a great time catching up and letting the kids play. We went to two different parks on Saturday because the weather was so nice (finally one day with no rain). The girls did great on both the way there and the way back. Road trips are so much easier now that Kate will watch movies with her sister....thank goodness!! We love you Kevin, Beth, Ian, and Eli, oh and Shep (the dog).
PS- While we were there it was Shep's (the dog) 7th birthday so we made everyone hats and Shep a necklace. We sang Happy Birthday to him and he got a special dinner treat!!! Wish I took a pic of this but I didn't.

Princess Tea Party

Last Saturday Addy had a Princess Tea Party at the local community center. She wanted to dress as Rapunzel this year and bring her Tangled doll. She looked so pretty. She went to this same thing last year and I could tell a huge difference in how she acted and interacted just in a years time. They did a craft, played games, ate treats and 'tea', and listened to princess stories. It was all very cute. This year they even let the girls walk a red carpet!!

Girls Night Out

So a couple of my friends and I went out last Friday night for girls night out. We didn't go crazy or anything, just had some good clean girly fun!! Sorry about the order of the pictures (they are backwards) but we went to paint pottery, then went out to eat and played some mah jongg! We had a great time! We did a lot of talking, catching up, and laughing!! Love you Missy and Janae!

Sisters

Sisters...enough said!!!!

Addy's First Love Note...

When I was cleaning up the playroom, I found this note. I asked Addy about it and she casually said, "Oh Luke wrote that for me!" She has best friends (brother and sister) named Luke and Emerson. Addy and Kate adore them! The only name Kate knows how to say besides "Addy" is "Emme"...too cute. Anyway- they came over last weekend to play and I guess Luke wrote this for Addy. It is so cute!!!!!

Reading Buddies

Both of my girls love books!!! Addy hasn't learned to read yet, but she is really trying. Kate of course just loves to look at the pictures. Now if I could just get them to put the books back in the correct tubs, we would be golden!!!!

Changes to come...

Well, I guess I can blog about it since the news is on numerous websites and has already been published in the Wall Street Journal. We recently learned that Chevron purchased most of the company Jason works for, Chief Oil and Gas. We knew this would happen someday, so we are excited. We are apprehensive, nervous, thrilled, and curious all wrapped up in one! While Chief Oil and Gas still owns a small amount of acreage in the Marcellus Shale, they are not gone, but Chevron purchased the rest. We are not really sure what this means for the de Wolfe clan. Jason could stay with Chief, as they will still have a position in this play in Pennsylvania, he could be hired by Chevron (if they want him), or he could get a job somewhere else. These are the options we have I suppose and now we will just have to wait and see what happens. Because I am such a planner I would love for someone to just tell me where we will end up so that I can line everything out, but I know that cannot happen. I guess as long as Jason stays in this line of work, this is how our life will be....a big question mark!?! I know God is in charge and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us next!!

Mother's Day Tea Party

Addy had her Mother's Day Tea Party at her preschool on Wednesday. Even though it was 40 degrees outside, she insisted on wearing a dress! She looked adorable! The kids did some songs and then we headed to another room for tea and snacks. The kids set the tables and we ate on real china (very brave)! Addy and I had a great time together!!
