Steelers Game
Jason and I went to the Steelers game on Sunday. We had a great time despite the bitter cold temperatures. The crowd was SO into the game. I would love to say that I hung in there like a champ but I only lasted until half time. I walked across the street to the casino to get warm. I watched the rest of the game there with a large group of Steelers fans. After the game I walked over to the spot we were all meeting up and the car service took us home. We were gone from the house from 2:30 pm until almost 1 am! It was a long day and a very cold day, but so worth it!! Go Steelers!
Addyson's 5th Birthday
I cannot believe my Addy girl is already five years old! She is such an amazing little girl. Addy chose to have her birthday party at Build a Bear Workshop. She loves that place! She chose nine girls that she wanted to invite. All nine girls came and they seemed to all have a great time. They got to decorate their bear's house, choose which color bear they wanted, stuff their bear (while playing some games), bathe their bear, and then choose hair bows for their bears. They opened gifts and had cake! Addyson had a wonderful day sharing good times with her friends! And as you can see Katelyn really wanted to be involved with all the big girls!!! She was a step behind her sissy the entire party!

Texas
We had a whirlwind of a trip to Texas, but it was great! While we were there we stayed at my Mom's house. We were able to do lots of things we can't do in PA and see lots of people we aren't able to see very often. We celebrated Christmas with my family the day we arrived and it was awesome! The girls got WAY too much (in fact we had to ship a bunch back because there was no way to fit it all in our luggage). While we visited, the girls enjoyed playing with the dogs (Sydney and Teener), swinging on the swing set in the backyard, taking walks, playing with the toys at Mimi's house, taking baths, setting the table with tupperware and make believe friends, and basically doing anything they wanted to do at Mimi's house. They also enjoyed playing with toys at Nana and Papa's house and playing with their cousin Brooklyn! Jason and I enjoyed seeing some old friends and of course LOVED hanging out with Doug and Kelli and Aaron and Erin! We also enjoyed playing a little mah jongg on my mom's new mah jongg tiles! We had some fabulous Mexican food while we were in town too! I even got to catch up with some of my old teaching buddies at Liberty Elementary in Flower Mound. We also had a dinner over at the de Wolfe house. It was so nice to have our two girls and their cousin Brooklyn all together in one house...too cool! Overall it was a great trip. These trips are always hard because the girls are out of their element and out of their routine, but in the end it is worth it because we get to see so many family members! Thanks to my mom for letting us take over her home and car and getting everything prepared for a family of four. Thanks to Kelli and Doug and Aaron and Erin for being flexible enough to make time to hang out with us. Thanks to Chris and Debbie for understanding our crazy schedule and hanging out with us whenever we could! Thanks to Nana, Auntie, Aunt Dorothy, Betsy and Gena, Bryan Shores, and Gayla for coming by the house to visit us. Can't wait for next year, but for now we are glad to be back at our home and settling back into our routine!
PS- please forgive the lack of pictures. I realize that I am just not a good picture taker. I need to work harder at this!!!
