My Cousin's Wedding
I flew into Texas last weekend to attend my cousin's wedding. It was a whirlwind trip, but I enjoyed it! The wedding was great. My cousin Clay married a beautiful girl named Carla. I am so happy for them!
Finally...
I finally got Jason into playing mah jongg! He was holding out for the longest time. When Doug and Kelli were at our house, he finally gave in and played with us. Now he is hooked (just like everyone is that plays). It is so great to be able to play at night after the girls are in bed. Here is Jason in his 'poker' glasses so we can't see his eyes! He is really good too! Way to go pooks!

The Big 3-0!

I turned thirty years old (yikes) on Sunday! Jason and the girls brought me breakfast in bed (egg, english muffin, and coffee). Addy had 'written' me a letter (her words, plus some, that Jason typed out) for my birthday...too sweet. Jason and the girls got me a new watch for my birthday. I love it. Jason did very well. He picked it out all by himself! We met up with some friends and went to watch the World Cup Final game. We had a great time. Afterwards, some people came over and we cooked steaks. My good friend Janae and I played mah jongg! It was a great birthday. It was a little low key, but my actual party is this coming Saturday (which my mom and Doug and Kelli will be here for). Turning 30 wasn't so bad. I have a feeling my thirties will the best years yet!!
Finally...
Katelyn refuses to eat any 'real' food that I make her. When I give her 'real' food to try, she literally gags, and in some cases, vomits. Addy and I had spaghetti last night for supper (Daddy was at a business dinner). I decided I would try again with the 'real' food, and to my surprise, she LOVED it. I finally made something she would eat. Hooray!!
Before and After

Jason and I (well, mostly Jason) removed some shrubs in our backyard on Saturday. We are having our deck extended so they had to go. It didn't take us too long. The girls hung out in the backyard under an umbrella and played while we worked. Can't wait to see the finished deck! Construction got underway yesterday (Monday). Exciting!
A, E, and B Visit!!!
Jason's sister Erin, her husband Aaron (hence why we call them A and E), and their daughter Brooklyn came to visit us from Texas this past week. We had such a great time. We always enjoy their company. Brooklyn is three weeks younger than Katelyn so they had fun together. Addy loved playing with another baby besides her sissy for a change. We went to the petting zoo, the swimming pool at the gym, and had a little mah jongg get together at the house. Otherwise, we kind of hung out and took it easy. The three kiddos in the car at the same time was quite comical! We kept saying it was almost like having twins because they are so close in age. Something was always going on around here. We had such a great visit with them and are anxiously awaiting the next time we can see them.

Crawling
Katelyn is on the loose now. She is a crawling machine. Gates will have to go back up, and baby proofing will have to be done. We can thank her cousin Brooklyn for conquering this new feat. After Brooklyn was here with us for six days crawling all around, Katelyn must have picked up on it. Go Katie Reese!!
