Picture Day

Today my friend and I took the kiddos to this beautiful subdivision near us to take some pictures. We had purchased the girls matching dresses a while back and where just waiting until it was warm enough for them to wear them! Kate refused to pose for this picture!! More to come...

The Children's Museum in Pittsburgh

My friend Jennifer and I took all the kids to the Children's Museum this week and they had a blast!! This was the first time Kate has gone that she has gotten to be out of her stroller and be hands-on with everything. She fell asleep within five minutes of being in the car to go home! Good times!

Baby Tee-Wee

This is Kate's little weiner dog that she calls 'Tee-Wee'! My brother and sister-in-law have a dachshund named Teener Weiner. And Kate calls her 'Tee-Wee', so that is why she calls her pet dog 'Tee-Wee'. Kate actually has 2 weiner dogs. She calls the bigger one 'Mama Tee-Wee' and the smaller one 'Baby Tee-Wee'. Tee-Wee goes everywhere with us. This particular morning, she went to eat breakfast with us. Kate was feeding her blueberry muffin and banana! Ha!!

Jason Turns 32...

Jason requested one of his favorite dinners that I make (pulled pork enchiladas- thanks Jen L. for the recipe!) for his birthday so of course I obliged. Then Addy and I made two mini cheesecakes for him. Everything turned out fabulous! Kate was in bed by the time we sang Happy Birthday and ate the cheesecake (that's why she isn't in the pic). It was a great birthday!

Wordless Wednesday

My Brother

So while I was in Texas, my brother took off of work a day to hang out with me. I was so honored. We had a great time together. We went to the gun range and Doug got to show me his expertise about guns and gun safety. I am still learning, a lot, and was a little scared, but I shot every gun that Doug brought with him. We even got to shoot my grandfather's gun which was really cool! The day we went it was super hot, but well worth it because I got to hang out with Doug! Then we drove around a bit and watched a movie! Fun times bro!

Tennis Lessons

Addy had her first tennis lesson on Friday. It was sooooo cute! She did great! She loved every minute and cannot wait to go back next Friday! My little tennis cutie!

Cooking Party

Addy got invited to a birthday party where the kids got to cook! It was the neatest thing and Addy just loved it! They made a pizza, a cupcake, and homemade ice cream!! Let's just say, she had her fill of sugar for the month!!

Trip to Texas

I am really late in blogging, but here are some pics from our Texas trip. I don't know why, but for some reason I just didn't take any pictures while I was there...sorry! We had an amazing time visiting with friends and family!

Addy and Kate's BFF's

On Monday Addy and Kate's BFF's (Luke and Emerson) spent the day with us. They all had such a great time together. Hauling 4 kids in and out of car seats and in and out of places was tough, but what a joy to be around such sweet kids all day!! We love you Luke and Emme!

My Dad

I don't know what it is, but Father's Day seems to be the hardest day for me when it comes to being sad about losing my Dad! I think it is because it is an ALL day reminder that I don't have a Dad anymore. There are a ton of things that I miss about my Dad, but here are just a few:
1. The way he was my number one fan no matter what!
2. His catfish cook outs.
3. The way he could piddle all day long and never really get one particular thing done. Ha!
4. The way he would sit in his recliner with one foot propped up on top of the other.
5. The fact that he had a nickname for me, J-Leigh, and he was the only one to call me that. I miss hearing it!
6. The way he would listen to a story and only interject with meaningful advice or information.
7. I miss the stories he would tell about growing up in West Texas.
8. The way he would laugh SO hard at Doug!
9. I miss hugging my Dad's neck and telling him that I love him!
10. What I miss most of all is knowing that when something amazing happens in my life, I can't pick up the phone and call him and that my two girls will never know the amazing man that I did!
I love you Dad. Happy Father's Day!!
