Our new puppy...

The first picture is the daddy, Collin, of our new puppy and the other two are the mommy, Cleo, of our new puppy. Aren't they so handsome and pretty?? The litter was supposed to be born on 12-12-12, but they have not arrived yet. We are anxiously awaiting pictures of Colonol Drake de Wolfe. The breeder assured us she would let us know, and send pictures, as soon as the puppies make their debut. We can't wait!!!!

Ellery the Elf

Addy named our Elf on the shelf Ellery. I am not quite sure why. He is a boy, and that is a girl name. But what are you going to do?? Ellery has been quite sneaky and funny this year. He apparantly loves sweets! Addy wakes up every morning and immediately starts looking for him. Yesterday he fell off the shelf he was on and we had to bandage him up! It does work though, the girls want to act right because Ellery is watching! I, on the other hand, find Ellery a little less amusing. I wake up most nights at 3 in the morning running around trying to figure out what he is going to do next!! Ha!! Anyway- here are a few of his latest adventures!

New Barstools

Well, we finally got our barstools. I have been looking for the perfect barstool pretty much since we started remodeling the kitchen. I went back and forth on what I wanted. I even bought some, tried them out, and ended up taking them back. I decided on plain Jane dark wood barstools from Crate and Barrel and I am super pleased! They don't draw attention to themselves and they are very comfortable. They are sturdy enough for the kids to climb in and out without tipping over. I promise Jason and I are working on house pictures to post. We have to compile them all from our phones and camera. Stay tuned....

Christmas Tree

We went to a tree farm yesterday in Harmony, PA to chop down our Christmas tree. It was so much fun!! We knew we needed a fairly large tree this year because of the room it is going in. We walked, with our saw, our cart, and three kiddos to the spot on the farm with the largest trees. We picked two we really liked, and ended up going with the smaller of the two. It is 11 feet tall! It was super cheap and they wrapped it and loaded it on top of our car for us. The whole experience was great, besides the lousy weather. Nolan was a trooper! I had to feed him in the car, but he didn't seem to mind. Kate kind of faded at the end and wanted to get warm in the car. Addyson loved every minute of it! We have it in the house, but not unwrapped or decorated yet. Jason's company Christmas party is tonight, so we plan on decorating the tree tomorrow! I hope this is our new tradition. It was so much fun, and the tree smells amazing!!!

Long time no blog.....

Sorry I have been absent from the blogging world for a while. We have been so super busy with the new house, the three kiddos, all of their activities, guests/family visiting, and the holidays! We are finally feeling settled in a bit in the new house. We have most all the boxes unpacked. We are slowly hanging things on the walls and getting things 'just so'. We are trying to find a spot for everything. I think we have done a good job of purging as we have gone. We have made lots of trips to GoodWill! We still have some empty drawers, cabinets, and spaces, but I am not too worried about filling them up right now. We still have lots of little projects we want to do to the house but we now have a brand new roof, all new hardwood flooring and carpet, all new paint, new door in the master bedroom, new appliances in the kitchen, new countertops and backsplash in the kitchen, new tile in the laundry room, and a few pieces of new furniture. We have worked our tales off and are excited about relaxing a little bit over the Holidays. I cannot believe we looked at this house four days after Nolan was born, settled on an offer mid June, closed on the house August 16th, and moved in on October 31st!! Whew....it will be nice to have a life outside the house for a while. We love our new home and could not be happier with the results from all the blood, sweat, and tears!! Addyson is doing great in first grade. She loves her teacher and so do we. She is reading and writing like crazy and we have seen major improvements since Kindergarten. She is slowly meeting new friends (since she had to switch schools when we moved). She is taking Musical Theater classes and piano, each, once a week. She is still the most kind hearted and loving girl on the planet. We are starting to see the influences of others creep in on her though. She cares more about what she wears, how she looks, etc. I thought this would be a couple years away, but I guess it starts earlier now. She plays so well with Katelyn and Nolan and cannot wait for the puppy to arrive in February!!! Katelyn is Katelyn, what can I say?? We call her a hot, hot mess most of the time! She tells it like it is, sticks up for herself and her sister/brother, and doesn't mince words! She is a homebody, and would much rather be at home relaxing and playing pretend than out and about. She is doing great in school even though she is the youngest in her class out of 18 kids. She idolizes her sister and tries to copy everything Addyson does. She is a tad on the dramatic side and tends to get her way a lot!! She takes ballet/tap/jazz once a week at the same dance studio as Addyson. Katelyn is a firecracker and I wouldn't have it any other way! Nolan is six months old already! He had croup so we couldn't do his well visit. We are going this week for his six month well visit. He is definitely on the chunky side. When we took him to the doctor when he was sick at Thanksgiving he weighed 20.4 lbs! HE IS HUGE!!! He is the happiest baby on the planet. I keep telling Jason, if all babies were like this I would have a bunch!!! He just rolls with the punches. He has to go to the dance studio four times on Thursdays because the girls each have a class. He has to sit in his seat while I drive the girls to and from school/the bus stop every day! He never cries, he never really fusses, he just rolls with it. He smiles and laughs at everything. He is eating veggies and fruit. We haven't tried meat yet. He hates rice cereal, and he is so chunky anyway that I am not pushing it. He has ORANGE hair and bright blue eyes! Jason calls him my boyfriend! Ha! I love on him all day long and miss him if I am away for any period of time. He is our chunky monkey, our Bubs, our handsome boy!!! Jason is loving the new house with all the extra land! He is keeping busy at work, but is looking forward to taking some time off for the holidays to visit with family. I am keeping busy with constant chores, Moms Club responsibilities/activities, playing mah jongg when I can with my friends, and trying to get back into the routine of working out. Well, I think I have caught everyone up on what has been going on with us! I tell everyone that visits, "Welcome to our freak show. You now have a front row seat!" Ha!!! It is chaos, but I love it!! And to add to the chaos we are getting a dog!! We are getting an Airedale Terrier. He should be born 12/12/12! We should get him the first or second week of February. His name will be Colonel Drake de Wolfe, but we will call him Drake! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did. My mom and Nana visited and it was awesome! We are looking forward to Jason's parents, Aaron and Erin Hein and their two kids visiting for Christmas. Eleven stockings will be hung by the chimney with care....should be interesting!!! Overall, life is crazy right now, but oh so good!
