Broken Dryer

Well, our dryer broke last Saturday. We had a service technician out and found the problem. He said in 18 years, he has never seen this happen one time. It was a fluke thing. One of the parts fused to the drum. They were supposed to be here on Thursday to fix it, and they didn't come. Going from Saturday to Thursday without doing laundry was a stretch, but do-able, but when they didn't come...I knew what I had to do. They won't be here until February 8th, so it was the laundromat for us! We had 8 loads to do! We went to the only laundromat we knew of and it was closed so we had to look up a random one on the internet and hope for the best. It was rather old and not the cleanest place, but it had washers and dryers so we stayed! The girls were really good, and Jason was a big help. We saw quite a few 'characters' while we there. We saw a guy with painted fingernails, jewelry, and wearing all black. Katelyn asked why he was boy but wearing nail polish and earrings...ha! We saw an older woman who talked to herself the entire time and asked everyone questions and then didn't wait to hear the answer, just kept walking. We saw a man remove all of this clothing in the middle of the wash (literally creating a flood on the floor) and run to his car with all his drenched clothing and put them in his trunk....soaking wet!!! But we got all of our laundry done in about two hours! We sure will be thankful to have our dryer back!!

Everyone needs to experience the "Laundrymat World" and all the unique characters it brings with it! Only you, Jen, would supply snacks for the girls to eat (probably healthy ones)...the rest of us would be using some precious quarters to let them feed the vending machines. I know it feels great to have a clean house and all the laundry done...Super Bowl Relaxing Sunday for the de Wolfes!
