Continued Construction...

Well, we are still remodeling the basement. We finally got the leak fixed and the french drains installed. The first picture shows how we took out one step (to add ten inches of space in the entryway) and raised the floor seven inches. The second picture shows the concrete (still drying) that was poured after the drains were installed. The third picture shows some dry wall that was added to the staircase (there will eventually be a railing there) and a small cubby for storage. The last picture shows a wall that was added in (wasn't there before). This wall will eventually have our television on it....woohooo! Things are moving right along. They tiled the entryway today and will finish tomorrow. Will post pics soon. We are have ordered/purchased almost everything!!!! We have ordered a sleeper sofa with a chaise, a matching chair, a large ottoman, an end table, tile for the entryway and bathroom, counter tops for the bar, cabinets for the bar, hardware for doors and cabinets, carpet for the stairs, an area rug, and stone for the outside of the bar. We still have to order/get the hardwood flooring, paint for the walls, electronics (television, dvd, etc.), the faucet for the sink, and I am sure like 900 other things we have not thought of yet....just kidding! We feel like we are making progress. But there is no way in the world we would be where we are today, as far as progress, if it weren't for Amy Memory http://www.ajdesignanddecor.com/ . She is a friend of ours and she also is an interior decorator/designer. We hired her to do the basement and it was the best decision ever. She has been amazing!!! She has worked her tail off and I think the final project is going to showcase this fact! Thanks Amy!! More pictures to come.

OMG! LOVE the birthday pics, the Mexico pics and the Remoldeling Time from Hades pics, everything look really, really awesome! Of course, the girls bring an instant smile to my face from ear to ear, but the vacation and the "In-law retreat" is not shabby! Good use of Summer Time J & J !!!!
